For our founder, Lata Rathod, inspiration has always come from the beauty of Indian traditions — from the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat to the colours, textures, ornaments, and handcrafted creations that bring every celebration to life.

Her journey began with a deep appreciation for the skilled hands behind India's traditional crafts. Over time, that appreciation grew into a vision: to bring the beauty of authentic Indian craftsmanship into contemporary fashion while keeping the soul of traditional artistry alive.

As she discovered more about traditional techniques, intricate embroidery, handcrafted accessories, and the dedication of Indian artisans, one thought became clear — these beautiful crafts deserve to be preserved, celebrated, and passed on to the next generation.

That belief became Kalakriti Crafts.

The name Kalakriti reflects what we stand for — “Kala” meaning art and “Kriti” meaning creation. Every piece we bring to you is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and the hands that make it possible.
